SGT. ROBERT N. ELOE, ex '45, Ansley, tail gunner on a B-17 Fortress, was killed on a mission over Bremer, Germany, December 20, 1943. He received the Citation of Honor, the Purple Heart, and the Air Medal posthumously. Sgt. Eloe left for foreignservice in September 1943, and was stationed in England.
